Green House Project
The first stage of Green House is complete - we cut 1500 (yes, 1500) bottles in just over an hour, and threaded them through 140 canes. It was very manic!

Cluster Football and Netball Tournament
Our small Schools cluster met together to play some sport. Bayton, Upper Arley, Wolverly and Blakedown competed in a round-robin tournament in football and netball. Despite of a torrential downpour, Blakedown came second in both competitions! Well done to all that played.

class2 Trips
Class 2 have had an exciting week with two visits, one to Hoo farm the other to the Wyre forest discovery center.
At Hoo farm we bottle fed baby lambs and goats, milked a cow (not a real one)collected freshly laid eggs and watched a sheep race over hurdles. Whilst at the Wyre Forest we learnt how to map read and navigate our way round the forest. The sun shone for our picnic.

Kingswood 2009
This weekend, Mr Hanson and Mrs Tromans took most of Year 4 to the Kingswood Outdoor Activity Centre.
The children took part in many activities including: Laser Zone, Climbing, Zip Wire, Team Challenge, Disco, Circus Skills and Quad bikes.
They also had three computer sessions where they designed their own computer games.
We all managed to dodge the worst of the weekend's weather and all the children had a fantastic time.

Not so Terrible Tudors
This week Class 3 followed up their successful Church Assembly* on the Tudors by visiting Tudor House in Worcester.
The residents of this house in Tudor times were weavers, and we all had a go at weaving a cloth and finding out how the fibres were created. There was also a chance to look at Tudor architecture and discover how Tudor tools were very similar to the ones we still use today. There was a chance to dress up as poor and rich Tudor boys and girls as well as a brief look into Tudor past times and games.
Much fun was had by all and it really bought our learning connections topic alive!
(* - disclaimer: Henry VIII did not use a mobile phone to ring the Pope, that was used for comic effect!)
