This week I have been learning about space.My favourite part was dressing up in a spacesuit it made me feel happy.In the spaceship everything floated around.

Class 4 Eco Houses

As part of our Learning Connections in class 4 we designed eco houses. Ollie's Mum, who is an architect, came in to talk to us about her job and to tell us things that we should consider when designing a house.

We researched a site, did site plans and looked at the natural features. We researched different types of buildings and how to make the house as eco friendly as possible. Then we built them - only models really - but maybe we can do the real thing next time.

This week we have been learning about traditional tales. I wrote A story called The Princess and the Prince.I made a book cover of Rapunzel.My favourite thing was science we looked at all kinds of things through a magnifying glass ,I liked the apple the best.

class2 DT

Class 2 are learning about traditional tales. This week we have been listening to the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We have written different endings to the story. Yaer 1 made some homes for the troll. They were very good. We all had a challenge to make a bridge out of newspaper. The bridge had to be strong enough to carry the troll.! Luckily they all worked and the troll didn't get wet. Here are some pictures of out troll homes and our bridges.

The Beatles

The Beatles were one of the 20th century's pop group sensations. All the songs they wrote were hits and every where they would go they were mobbed by fans!

The four members were:
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star. There was first a band called the Quarry Men but John changed the name to the Beatles after hearing about another popular band at that time called the Crickets.

As well as producing loads of fantastic songs they produced 5 films: Hard days night, Help!, Magical mystery tour, Yellow submarine and let it be.

The Beatles were one of the best bands in history (well I think so) and I think they changed the world.
