Blakedown's KS2 children have entered three different sporting events.
It started with the weekend football and netball tournament at Haybridge High School. The netballers played really well against the four other teams and came 3rd overall.
The footballers didn't fare so well, and despite a huge effort, came 5th.
The following Thursday we entered a Tag Rugby Tournament, which was organised by the police. There were over a dozen teams from around the Wyre Forest area taking part. We reached the semi-finals and came 4th! The team were presented with medals and played well enough to have reached the final if it wasn't for a bit of bad luck. Maybe next year!?
All children who took part represented the school wonderfully and showed real passion, commitment and determination, even when the odds were against them.
Well done all!
The Rugby players in the middle of a haka!
Wind-swept semi-finalists!
