PGL

Next week year 6 are going on PGL other wise known as parents get lost. This year all 17 year 6s are going. Everyone who is going is really excited about doing lots of new types of activity's, and hope that it will live up to our expectations. Last year the children that went on PGL came back really tired. Some of us are a bit worried about not being able to take thing that we like to call essentials, such as; hair driers, mobile phones and other electrical items. The teachers assure us that we don't need any of that kind of thing anyway and we won't have time to use them, we aren't so sure though. One of the activity's we all want to do is go on the big swing as it looks so big and scary, we also want to do climbing and the zip wire! At PGL we are staying in dormitories separate girls and boys rooms of course. We leave our school at 1.30pm on Monday and return on Friday at about 3.15pm. We don't know what activity's we are doing yet but we are sure they will be fun, and we will have a great time. Just like last year we are going with a few other small schools, and we will be put into a mixed group when we get to PGL. We are staying at a site called Boreatton Park, it has 250 acres of land, which means it is absolutely massive. This year we are doing the multi activity course which means we get a great selection of things to do. If anyone has any suggestions to help us with anything on PGL, please let us know!

Lego!

As part of our Arts week we had the opportunity to do some construction work with Lego. We had a great day - even the teachers joined in. It was good to have so many pieces (there were over 50000 altogether). We learnt about how to build in strong way and how to make a pitched roof. It was cool.

Maths Evening

Last week all the teachers stayed behind to teach our parents how we do maths! It was fun to see our parents get stuck on the things we do everyday.
