The Oriental Pearl

Yesterday we had a fantastic experience! The manager and the Head Chef from the Oriental Pearl restaurant came in and gave us a cooking demonstration. Here's who they were:

Mr W Deng studied at the Canton College of Technology specialising in food and catering. He trained at the Silver Indo Hotel in Zuhai, China. Mr Deng came to the UK in 1999 and is currently the Head Chef at the Oriental Pearl Restaurant.

The Oriental Pearl is the biggest and best restaurant of its type. It has a great selection of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Malaysian dishes. Arts Week 2007 - Key Stage 2

After a long hard week of tests were finaly coming to arts week.We will be learning about China.We are looking forward to learning how to speak Mandrin (chinese language). Mr.Bailey from Hagley primary school is coming in to do an assembly all about Gambia,this is because he visits it alot and Knows a little child who lives there. Thats why Hagley school do alot of fund raisers. We will be learning how to cook Cinese food and of course try some. We will have a Lego day and isn't just a day of us building Lego.Mr Wood house has come back and will be teaching us after half term.

Boring tests!

key stage two have been doing tests. Year 6 have been doing tests which are called SATS. the sats get marked by someone els. year5 have been doing similar tests but they get marked by our teachers. year 6 have nine tests all together. Year 5 have nine tests aswell. The tests have been so boring.The tests only happen in the mornings if we can fit them in. In the afternoons we have beeen doing relaxing things like drawing etc. the friday before tests we were doing stuff to cool down. mr marshall took the year 6 and they all went to sleep in the hall. and year 5 had hot chocolate and cookies.
