School's Out For the Summer!

All done - what a busy year, especially this last term.

Keep an eye on the blog over the summer, I'll put some pictures up of the Year 6 Night to Remember and maybe a few more Rocky Monster images.

Have a great summer - be safe. We'll see most of you in September.

a BIG thank you!

After watching the Rocky Monster DVD yesterday I thought I'd blog to say THANK YOU! It was fantastic to see it again, although I've started singing all of the songs again, which can be annoying.

The show was fantastic, it was a real team effort - both staff and kids. I think you'll agree with me when I say it was the best show that we have ever done, but it wouldn't have been that good if everyone wasn't trying their hardest.

I hope you all enjoyed it. Thanks again.

Mr M

PS - what show do you want to do next year? Leave the answers as a comment.

The Rocky Monster Show

Last night we performed for the last time our summer production - The Rocky Monster Show!We started practicing a few months back. This show is about mad scientists, new found love and some very strange goings on in the castle its got humour and scary parts. All of our audinces loved it and so did we .

I played Elsa and I had a great time playing that part. Everyone in KS2 took part from actors to stage hands, from front of house to special effects - we had everyone involved. We made t-shirts too, which you can order if you want (they're very good quality and at a reasonable price!!).

We're going to put some photos on the blog when we have some more time. And I know that Mr Marshall is going to ask other cast members to blog about what they enjoyed too.

Thanks for reading.

SPORTS DAY!

On Tuesday We did a day of sports, it was great fun! In the morning KS2 did field events. When we did our field events we went in our year groups but when we went up in your year you represent your team. Our first event was the javelins, then hammer and the last event was the discus. And in the afternoon we did our running races. When we did our running races some people did the sprint which was staight down the track, and then we did once around the track ,then twice around and finally three times round! Phew!!!!

All through there was races to watch, there were some cakes, drinks, toys and competitions.
When we finished all of that we did a whole school relay

What a day! Although my team didn't win, me and my class really enjoyed it.

We're back - for a bit

It has been ages since we got the bloggers together for a blog session.

Here's why: Year 6 sats - we spent ages getting things ready and doing revision, we were all really tired a worn out after that. Our regular blogging time was disrupted by bank holidays, etc. We then had to go on PGL (see our post about that). Finally and most time consuming we have just successfully completed our most fantastic production ever - The Rocky Monster Show! There will be a few posts about that!

With only a week to go we'll blog a bit before the holidays but there will be no posts over the holidays.

Thanks for reading and commenting - make sure you check out our website @ click here.
